Holiday House Dahab is a spacious house (around 100m2) with two bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with a double bed and direct access to the garden and a second bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning. The house accommodates four adults. Both the sunny roof terrace and the garden are about 100m2. Enough space to relax!

Our holiday home is located in the area called Assalah, situated just a stone throw from the beach (less then 3 minutes walk). Nearby you will find several small supermarkets, a bakery, phone shops and pharmacies. You can find some small (local) restaurants where you can eat like and with the locals. The beginning of the boulevard (Lighthouse area) is a 10 – 15 minute walk along the beach. This is the more touristy area where you will find souvenir shops and the bigger restaurants. If you don’t feel like walking you can always take a taxi. In Dahab almost all cars will be your taxi for about 10-15 Egyptian pounds.

Living room / kitchen

The living room with open kitchen is really spacious, with a lot of light coming from the three big windows. The beautiful big doors open directly into the garden. There is a big couch and a 32 inch LCD television with a HDMI connection. You can watch a show or the news on one of the many English tv channels, watch a DVD or look at your pictures from your laptop. A HDMI cable is available in the house. The kitchen has a gas stove with an electric oven, a fridge with small freezer, pots, pans and everything you need to cook your own meals when you don’t feel like going out. A recent addition is a large wooden dining room table. Nice for a shared dinner, but also to play a game or write in your journal.


Bedrooms

Holiday House Dahab has two large bedrooms. Both rooms have air-conditioning with heating option for the colder winter nights in December and January. There is a master bedroom with a double bed and big doors opening to the garden. In the second bedroom there are two single beds. The cupboard that’s in between the beds is on wheels and can be moved to create a second double bed.


Bathroom

The bathroom is quite large with a nice shower, a western style toilet and a sink with mirror. There is a boiler so you can have a nice hot shower after a day on the beach. The bathroom is decorated in Egyptian style..


The garden

The garden of our holiday home in Dahab is about 100m2. You can find hibiscus, dade palms, several cacti and bougainvillea in all sorts of colors. There’s also basil and rosemary for cooking and a small lemon and small orange tree. In the garden you will find a nice bamboo furniture set which is really comfortable and near the entrance there is a large couch.


Roof terrace

Using a stone stairway at the back of the house you can reach the large 100m2 sunny roof terrace. On the terrace there is a nice sitting area with some big lounge pillows where you can take a nap or read a book. In May 2012 we added an ‘arisha’, a wooden shelter to provide some much-needed shade for those nice sunny days. The arisha has lights so it’s also a great plce to relax in the evening. There are electric plugs upstairs so you can take your laptop with you to watch a movie or put on some music. There are also two sun beds if you can’t get enough of the Egyptian sun. A great place to sit and relax.
